Sarah Murley-Hauser, B.Mus. RMT
Sarah began her violin studies at the North York Suzuki School of Music, in Toronto, at the age of 6. She completed her Bachelors of Music (B.Mus.) in violin at the University of Toronto, studying with Katherine Rapoport and Annalee Patipatanakoon. She has also studied with Annick Roussin at Domaine Forget in Quebec. Her own studies continue beyond the classroom as she further develops her skills and knowledge.
Sarah is a trained Suzuki teacher, registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She is recognized through the SAA as a Suzuki Violin Books 1, 2, 3 and 4 teacher, and her teacher training has included Suzuki teacher development courses at the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute (Ontario) and Ithaca College’s Suzuki Institute (New York State). Sarah is a Registered Music Teacher through the North York branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association. She has also attended the Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers with Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner at Indiana University. In 2018 Sarah attended the String Teachers Retreat at the Indiana University Summer String Academy with Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner. She teaches in North York at her private studio, and is also on staff at the Upper Beaches Music School, East Toronto.

Sarah has played with the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra, the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the University of Toronto Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.
She has appeared at the Church of the Redeemer – Toronto, at the Rock Eucharist, with the Wycliffe College Wine Before Breakfast band and has appeared in many different venues playing equally diverse genres.
